New signs help inform lake users on blue-green algae

The Moses Lake Watershed Council and the Grant County Tourism Commission recently completed the installation of informational signs at six boat launches on Moses Lake and will soon be adding them to launch sites on Potholes Reservoir.

The signs direct lake users to the appropriate websites for the latest information on blue-green algae, including the Grant County Health District's website for current lake conditions and Moses Lake Watershed Council's website to learn more about how you can help eliminate blue-green algae and restore a healthy water system.

Keep a lookout for these signs and the helpful QR code at the following boat launches: Blue Heron Park, CascadePark, Connelly Park, Montlake Park, and Lower Peninsula Park on Moses Lake, and Blyth, Glenn Williams, Lind Coulee, Perchpoint, and the Power Lines on Potholes Reservoir.

The project was made possible thanks to a grant from the Grant County Tourism Commission.
